Bond 23 is years away and it seems as if the tabloids have nothing better to do recently than create rumors about the future-films cast and crew.

A few weeks ago Danny Boyle was rumored to have been pursued by Barbara Broccoli to direct ‘Bond 23’ (which he later denied himself), then about two weeks later actress Freida Pinto (who worked with Danny Boyle on ‘Slumdog Millionare’ go figure) was linked to a possible Bond Girl role in the film.

Buzz Newsroom has thrown a familiar name into the mix of Bond 23 rumors, that name being: Angelina Jolie.

Angelina Jolie has been among the names rumored to be involved in every Bond production since 2000.

According to Buzz Newsroom:

“Angelina Jolie has been interested in being involved with Bond, James Bond, for quite some time. She came THIS CLOSE to signing on to Casino Royale with Daniel Craig—but dropped out of negotiations due to scheduling and her pregnancy at the time. Our source tells us Mrs. Pitt met with Bond producers over the weekend, expressing her interest in joining the franchise. The only hitch, Angelina would be a reoccurring character, instead of just appearing in one movie. With her Tomb Raider franchise dead, and being killed off in Wanted — Angie seeks a solid financial property to revisit every few years. An easy payday indeed! Bond producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli are very eager to have Angie on board. But, will they pay what she’s asking?”
